Internet Speed Test
Measure your real download, upload and ping using M-Lab's open-source NDT7 network. The same engine that powers Google's built-in speed test.
Run speed test →Plan Expiry Calculator
Pick a recharge date and validity in days to see the exact day your prepaid Jio, Airtel, Vi or BSNL plan will expire.
Calculate expiry →Data Usage Calculator
Estimate how much mobile data you need per day based on streaming, social, music and browsing hours. Get matching plan recommendations.
Estimate my data →What are telecom tools and why use them?
A telecom tool is a small calculator or measurement that helps a mobile user answer one specific question: how fast is my connection right now, when does my recharge expire or how much data do I really need each month. Each PlanDetails.in tool focuses on a single decision so you can act in under a minute.
Indian operators publish hundreds of overlapping prepaid plans across 22 telecom circles. The right tool turns that complexity into a single number — Mbps, expiry date or daily GB — that maps to a plan you can recharge today.
Speed test vs data calculator vs expiry calculator
- Speed test tells you what you are getting right now from Jio, Airtel, Vi or BSNL on this device, this tower and this time of day.
- Data calculator tells you how big your next plan should be by mapping streaming, social and browsing hours into a daily GB target.
- Expiry calculator tells you the exact day your current recharge ends so you can set a reminder and never lose validity.
How operator and circle affect your results
A healthy Jio True 5G connection commonly measures 300 to 900 Mbps download in a covered metro circle, while a typical BSNL 4G test returns 5 to 25 Mbps. A speed test number that looks low for Airtel 5G in Mumbai may be perfectly normal for Vi 4G in a rural circle. Always interpret your result against your operator and your circle.

Common questions about our tools
Are these telecom tools free to use?+
Yes. Every tool on PlanDetails.in is free, requires no sign-up, and runs in your browser. We do not collect personal information to use them.
Which speed test engine powers this site?+
Our speed test uses M-Lab's NDT7 — an open-source measurement system used by Google Search's built-in speed test. It measures real end-to-end TCP throughput to an M-Lab server near you.
Do the tools work for Jio, Airtel, Vi, BSNL and MTNL?+
Yes. The speed test is operator-agnostic — it measures whatever connection your device is on. The expiry and data calculators work for any prepaid plan from any Indian operator.
How much mobile data does the speed test use?+
A full NDT7 run downloads and uploads roughly 50 to 200 MB depending on your connection speed. Avoid running it on a metered plan with little balance left.
Will more tools be added?+
Yes. We are working on a 5G coverage checker, MNP eligibility tool and a circle-wise pricing tracker. Bookmark this page to see new tools as they ship.
